Year 1

Miss Sasenarine, Mrs Whybrew, Miss Bobbin and Miss Collery welcome you to our Year One page.

Welcome back to the second half of the summer term.  The St Joseph's staff have just spent a very busy day in school getting the classrooms organised to welcome many of you back from next week. Some of you will be continuing at home school and so life will remain the same for the time being but, for those children who are returning, you will be coming back to a different routine.  These routines are all to keep you safe within your 'social bubble' groups.  You will be learning in smaller groups, in different classrooms and many of you will not be taught by your normal class teacher. Play times will be at a different time, lunch will be eaten in classrooms and there will be no assemblies or music lessons.  This may seem a bit daunting at first but let us reassure you - we will always do our best for you.  At some point, if we all work together, school will go back to 'normal' one day in the not-too-distant future.  Working together will mean listening very carefully to the new rules, keeping our 2 metre distance and always letting an adult know if we are concerned, need help or feel ill. In the meantime we will use our St Joseph's qualities of trying our best, looking out for others and working hard to make this last half term rewarding.  We look forward to welcoming you back.

Sending all of your families our best wishes.

The Year One team.

On behalf of all the staff at St. Joseph's, we hope you are staying safe and healthy.
