Welcome to Honeybees!

Our topic is: Seasons and Celebrations

Our RE topic is: Welcome

We have been learning how we welcome people into God's family. Have a look at our baptism photographs below...

In RE we have been thinking about our own birthdays. We spoke about parties, birthday cake, dancing, presents and singing 'Happy Birthday' when it is someone's birthday. We played musical statues in the classroom, made birthday food out of play-dough and decorated party decorations. We also thought about how grownups get ready for a new baby to arrive. We learnt that the day a baby is born is their birthday.

Thursday 19th October 2017 is the Hindu Festival of Diwali. We heard the story of Rama and Sita, decorated hands with Mendhi patterns and coloured Rangoli patterns. We also tried Jalebi sweets.

We are getting ready for when we start PE after half term. We have taken off our shoes and socks (or tights) and jumpers (or cardigans) and put them back on again!
